This is basically somewhere where I post random observations that make weird connections back to Final Fantasy, and usually it's involving Genesis ~ xD;

Yes, here I am quoting bits of random poetry [yeah, I know they call me obsessed xD].
Well, we were watching a movie called 'Dead Poet's Society' in English a while ago, and while I was listening to one of the main characters reading out these few lines of poetry.

You know what it reminds me of?
LOVELESS.
[Yup, you all knew that one was coming xDDD]
It's almost as if this is Genesis voicing his thoughts after everything that he, Angeal and Sephiroth have been through. And it also makes a huge connection to the interpretation of the 1st Act of LOVELESS:

The infinite mystery
The gift of the goddess is what the three men seek
But their fates are scattered by war

One becomes a hero, one wanders the land
And the last is taken prisoner

But the three are still bound by a solemn oath
To seek the answer together, once again

Hence, 'to strive, to seek, to find', meaning to seek the answer to the Gift of the Goddess. [Yes, I'm well aware that Genesis believed that this was answered just before he turned to the Lifestream, but in my take it's kind of like a retrospective and he's looking back.]

Anyway, 'come my friends, tis not too late to seek a newer world,' may refer to Genesis desiring make the world new again, to make it a better place and atone for what he's done [hence leaving his 'old world' of revenge behind].

'For my purpose is to sail beyond the sunset' implies Genesis' newly acquired purpose to protect the planet and go beyond the previous attempts and to the best of his ability.

'and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved Earth and Heaven, that which we are we are,' talks about how even if their strength as people, friends and comrades is not the same of how it used to be, Genesis wishes to accept his current state and move on. [And it's safe to say that their strength did move Earth and Heaven - Genesis to the Earth ['If this world seeks my destruction, it goes with me', etc.,] and Sephiroth to the heavens [tainting the Lifestream with Geostigma and all that.]]

'One equal temper of heroic hearts.'
Genesis, Sephiroth and Angeal were bound in a friendship, SOLDIERs together and heroes to the world. Deep inside it was their passion to be heroes and recognised, a desire to do good for the world before each of them fell from grace.

'Made weak by time and fate,' describes how their bond was broken apart by the events and fate of Crisis Core and over that seven years the three of them completely split apart.

'but strong in will, to strive, to seek, to find, and not yield.' Finally, as Genesis reflects that each of them have grown strong in their wills, or rather he feels that their original wills have grown strong in him as he tries to atone for his sins. In his heart Genesis feels they seek the answer together as he remembers them, even after they are long gone. In that light Genesis says that despite his wrong doings and all that suffering, he's not willing to give up on life.

Oh, gosh, somebody commit me to a mental hospital.
I'm too freaking obsessed xD;
